Random Encounters are select images from 3 separate photo series, all created on the iPhone.
Series 1: Random Encounters and Series 2: Everything New is Old Again are inspired by Pictorialist Photographers
of the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, they also draw heavily from the Impressionistic, Expressionistic and Romantic artists: Seurat, Pissarro and Turner.
Series 3: Look Within evolved as I began to see the parallels of the symbiotic relationship of the flowers of
Random Encounters to the vase; how something so simple and oft overlooked for its functionality is inherently organic and complex in its existence; akin to skin holding life within.
